Au 1er tour de l'élection présidentielle du 10 avril 2022 en Charente-Maritime, Emmanuel MACRON est arrivé en tête avec 28,87 % des suffrages exprimés, devant Marine LE PEN (25,32 %) et Jean-Luc MÉLENCHON (18,18 %), selon le ministère de l'Intérieur.
La participation en Charente-Maritime au 1er tour de la présidentielle 2022 (77,57 %) est supérieure de 3,88 points à celle de la France entière (73,69 %) et inférieure de 0,86 point à celle de Nouvelle-Aquitaine (78,43 %).
Depuis la présidentielle 2017, la participation en Charente-Maritime est passée de 79,78 % à 77,57 % (−2,21 points), contre −4,08 points en France entière.
